Starting May 8th, YOU MUST have a REAL ID Drivers license to get on base. IF you do not you will not be allowed on post unless you show a second form of ID such as a passport. This was supposed to start way back in 2008 but kept getting pushed back. Now it is finally in affect.
This is your official notice
If you show up to a match with a Non-Real ID Drivers License and not a second form of ID, I CAN NOT HELP YOU.
For reference, below are listed the acceptable forms of ID from the Department of Homeland Security if a customer or visitor has not obtained a State Issued Real ID by May 7th:
- State-issued Enhanced Driver’s License (Currently there are only 5 states that issue EDL/EIDs, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington)
- U.S. passport
- U.S. passport card
- DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
- U.S. Department of Defense ID, including IDs issued to dependents

This comes from Chief Dyer at INNG State Security. This is a Federal requirement, NOT a state requirement.
If you are unsure what a “REAL ID” is, please go to this link https://www.dhs.gov/real-id, it is required to fly on commercial aircraft, or enter any federal building or facility, effective nationwide on May 8, 2025.
Our ISRPA match dates are listed below, and we REALLY hope you work on getting a Real ID, and come visit us on the range for Across the Course Highpower! We are also currently tossing around the idea of having Mini Shooter Clinics on Saturday afternoons after firing is complete. Right now the thought is we concentrate on one of the stages of fire on each of our standard double RMC weekends, something like what’s outlined below.
