Shooting Competition! It’s a way to test your skills and equipment against a standard, meet new friends, and have fun shooting. NRA’s Competitive Shooting Division offers a wide range of activities in all types of shooting, for everyone from the novice to the world-class competitor. The NRA sanctions over 11,000 shooting tournaments and sponsors over 50 national championships each year. Ranges all over Indiana sponsor NRA Competitions in various Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun tournaments.
Discipline Vice Presidents represent the competitive shooting disciplines governed by the Association. The Discipline Vice Presidents sanction the State Championship events governed by the NRA in their respective discipline, establish awards, and ensure that the State Championship matches are posted and run according to NRA standards.
The ISRPA supports sportsmen and women in virtually every discipline of the shooting sports, from Blackpowder to Hunting to Smallbore.
As the interest in shooting and the Shooting Sports has grown, so have organizations dedicated to particular competitive disciplines (USPSA, Trap, Sporting Clays, etc.), limited only by the imagination of the sponsors and competitiors. Although not directly involved as a sponsor in all of these competitions, ISRPA supports all these organizations and the competitions they foster. You will find links to Indiana competitions on our website via links to other sponsoring organizations. If you don’t see it and you think it should be listed here—please contact us.
