The ISRPA and NRA sanction a great number of competitive shooting sports. Several options exist within each of the below disciplines depending on your interests. Outside organizations provide additional competition options as well.
Pistol
The NRA and other organizations sanction pistol matches in many disciplines, tailored to both centerfire and rimfire.
Rifle
Matches in many different disciplines such as “3-Position” (prone, seated, and standing), “Benchrest” (shooting from a bench), “Long Range” (distances out to 1,000 yards or more) and others are available.
Shotgun
Multi-Gun
Some competition formats utilize different firearm types simultaneously such as Rimfire Challenge (pistol and rifle) and “3-Gun” (pistol, rifle, and shotgun).
