It was a great day and a great weekend of fun for the whole family with a LOT of huge smiles on young faces! It doesn’t get much better than that!
Several Indiana Scout Troops joined us for basic safety and Marksmanship, Modern and Black Powder Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Air Rifle, Tomahawk, Woods Walk, Opportunities, awards, prizes and FUN at the beautiful facilities of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association! Camping Friday and Saturday was fun for all!
This is just our second year for Family Day on the Range. We incorporated the Scout Camporee weekend into the ISRPA event, with great success! 145 Scouts from all across Indiana rolled in to camp and enjoy the activities, with Mother Nature smiling on the event with gorgeous weather! Activities included modern and black powder rifle and shotgun, pistol, air rifle and air pistol, tomahawk and woods walk, .22 rifle and steel challenge, and archery. Participants received pins for outstanding scores and tickets afforded opportunities to choose from the extensive prize table.
We’re planning to expand on the success this year with even more activities and events for 2027! Mark your calendar for October 2-3 2027 and plan to join us on the range!
