ISRPA is announcing our NEW Outstanding Club of the Year Award Program! Indiana enjoys a vibrant and active Youth Shooting Sports community across many disciplines and programs. Our Youth is the Future of Shooting Sports: there’s nothing quite like the huge smiles on young faces having a great time on the range!
As part of our long time commitment to support Youth Shooting Sports we are rolling over our individual scholarships (General and Hatful) as Club Awards to recognize and support Indiana Clubs and Youth Shooting Sports. This will both broaden our outreach to serve the Youth Shooting population and open options for funding the Awards. There will be at least two divisions for award: the General scholarship will be awarded as an Overall Outstanding Club award. The Hatfull Award, established in honor of John Hatfull, an Indiana State Trooper and long time pistol shooter killed in the line of duty in 1987, will retain the name and be awarded as a Youth Team award. Awards for other divisions will be determined.
The program is still in the design process, and ideas and suggestions are welcome. Goals of the Award program are to: Support Youth shooting sports across Indiana; boost ISRPA Club and Range membership; and support ISRPA programs and communications.
Timeline: Details of the program will be finalized by the second week of January and will be announce in the January Newsletter and First Quarter ISSN Magazine. Applications will be accepted beginning February 1, 2027 through March 30, 2027. Application will be open to all ISRPA member Clubs and Teams at the time of application. Participation in ISRPA Communications and programs- particularly submissions for the Newsletter and Quarterly ISSN will weigh be a criteria.
Awards will be determined and announced by September prior to the ISRPA Annual Meeting and Awards. Awards will be accompanied by a grant of up to $1000 to support Youth shooting in Indiana.
