Continuing with our spotlight of juniors in our Indiana Junior Highpower rifle program, this month we’re highlighting two young men, Marshall Rohrbach of Ft. Wayne, and Logan Becker of Brookston.
First up is Marshall Rohrbach, age 20 , who lives in Auburn, Indiana and his home club is Fort Wayne Rifle and Revolver. Marshall comes from a family that has a strong interest in shooting. He started shooting under his grandfather’s supervision at the age of six with a .22 rimfire off of a bench. He continued in the DeKalb County 4H shooting program where he progressed through air rifle, air pistol, and .22 rimfire programs.
When the Fort Wayne Rifle and Revolver Club started their Junior High Power program in 2021 (a subset of the statewide ISRPA Junior Program), Marshall decided that to make this the next stage of his shooting interest, joining the team in 2021 at its beginning. He progressed rapidly and at the end of that summer he was classified as an NRA Expert with an 89.3% average. Marshall is currently classified as an NRA Master and a CMP Expert (CMP Master eluding him because of a box of wet ammunition at Camp Perry last year).
Marshall took top honors in the 2025 Indiana Junior State Championship, earning the title of Indiana Junior High Power Champion. Marshall is also the current Indiana State 100-Yard State Champion, taking first place at Fall Creek last year. This summer Marshall is participating in the FWRR Club matches, and he plans to shoot in the 300-yard State Championship as well as the 100-yard State match. At Camp Perry he will participate in the President’s Match, the National Trophy Match and the National Junior Team Match. His plans also include continuing his pursuit of leg points towards his Distinguished Rifleman badge. At our Camp Atterbury double EIC weekend in June, he finished 3rd of 26 Non Distinguished on Sunday to earn an additional 6 points, making his total 10 of the required 30 to go Distinguished. One of his biggest goals this summer is to shoot well enough to earn his CMP Master Classification.
Marshall is a 2025 graduate of Trine University, completing his degree in Criminal Justice in three years and graduating with Magna cum laude honors. As a long term goal, Marshall would like to make a career with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources as a Conservation Officer.
Here are pictures of Marshall winning the 100 yard Reduced Course State Championship in 2024, and being awarded the 2025 Junior State Champion by Bob Winding, ISRPA Co-VP of Highpower.

Next up is Logan Becker, age 17, who lives in Monticello, IN. Logan’s home club is Wildcat Valley Rifle & Pistol Club near Brookston. He’s been shooting since he was 5, and began Highpower Rifle at age 11. Logan says “My Dad is the one who intrigued me with Highpower.”
Logan’s current classification is Master, which is quite a task for a junior. His major accomplishments include Junior Champion at Wildcat Valley in 2023, and coming in 58th place overall in the NRA World Shooting Championships in 2024. His future goals include making the cut in leg matches to continue earning points towards earning his Distinguished Rifleman badge, as well as doing well in a week of shooting at the CMP Nationals at Camp Perry this summer. Speaking of the Distinguished Rifleman badge, Logan finished 3rd of 32 non-distinguished shooters on Saturday at our Camp Atterbury double EIC weekend in June, to earn another 6 points. This makes his total 10 points towards the 30 required to go Distinguished.

Logan is involved in many activities, and his other interests include cars, shooting sporting clays, skeet, Precision Rifle Shooting, and Steel Challenge. Oh, and Logan is on the left in this picture! On the right is Phil Beaver, who helped coach Logan in matches at the Nationals in 2024.
As a reminder, we are selling raffle tickets to support this junior program. This year we’re raffling off two M1 Garands and a custom made patriotic cutting board. If you’d like a ticket, or if you’d like to make a contribution to our junior program, please contact Dave Schnelle (schnelle1@aol.com), or Bob Winding (bob@nd.edu).

Finally, these juniors can be seen on match days at ISRPA matches at Camp Atterbury, regular matches at Wildcat Valley R&PC near Brookston, Ft. Wayne R&RC, and Southern Indiana R&P near Borden. Here are the remaining matches at Camp Atterbury in 2025:
