UPDATE 1/19
Representative Bob Bischoff's pro-gun Bill, HB1065,
is scheduled for its next hearing tomorrow (Wednesday, January 20) at 3:30 p.m. in Room 156B of the State House.
That is the only bill presently scheduled for that meeting.
UPDATE 1/14
This morning, January 14, the House Natural Resources Committee, Chaired
by Representative
Bob Bischoff, unanimously recommeded HB 1068 (Representative Peggy Welch's
bill restricting
the release of personal, confidential information on applications for a
license to carry to law
enforcement agencies) without amendment to the full House. All twelve
committee members
voted for the bill.
Representative Bischoff's bill regarding confiscation of lawful firearms during a declared emergency and lawful firearms locked in a vehicle in a parking lot (HB1065) was held until next Wednesday. Chairman Bischoff appointed a small sub-committee to address some of the issues brought up in the Senate committee and this House committee. He wants a bill to come out of his committee that will pass the House without floor amendments.
Time and location of the next meeting of the Natural Resources will be announced soon.
