In the last edition of ISSN I asked members to donate to the "cause" to help offset the cost of the Indiana State Rifle & Pistol Association being a part of the 42 state shooting associations who joined in filing an Amicus Brief on behalf of legal gun owners in the McDonald vs. City of Chicago case being heard by the United States Supreme Court. In this suit, the Court is being asked to determine whether or not the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution applies to state and local governments.
Well the membership came through with flying colors, with at least a dozen sending in contributions to help cover ISRPA's share of the costs. It is because of members such as these that ISRPA is able to fight to keep the rights of all legal gun owners intact. The time has come that we all need to join in the fight, because without the 2nd Amendment being applicable to state and local governments we will certainly begin loosing our right to gun ownership, and you can only imagine the dire consequences of that.
To show it's appreciation to all those who have contributed, or will contribute, ISRPA is designing a special certificate to be given to all who helped the cause. Once again, thanks for helping.
